Telephony widgets – Emergency Calls
Definition
The Emergency Calls widget displays any individual calls where the dialled number is 999 or 112. It provides details of the caller, the calling device, the location (where available), the time of the call, and other relevant call information.
This widget can be particularly useful for large organisations where emergency responders may arrive at a central reception or security desk without knowing the exact location of the incident. By identifying who made the emergency call and where it originated, reception or security staff can direct emergency services to the appropriate area quickly and efficiently.
To maximise its effectiveness, this widget is typically configured as an Alert on New Data, which sends an email notification as soon as the emergency call has ended. This enables reception, security, or designated personnel to take immediate action and assist emergency responders upon arrival.

Modifications
If your organisation uses emergency numbers other than 999 or 112, you can customise the widget to monitor the appropriate numbers. To do this, edit the Called Digits filter and replace the default emergency numbers with the emergency numbers relevant to your country or organization.
Once updated, the widget will return calls made to the specified emergency numbers, ensuring that alerts and reporting remain accurate for your environment.
