Definition
The Poor Quality Voice Calls widget helps organisations proactively identify and investigate calls that may have experienced audio quality issues. By analysing call quality metrics and call analytics data, the widget highlights calls that fall below acceptable quality thresholds, allowing administrators to identify potential problems before they become widespread.
The widget provides visibility into key call details, including the devices used, network conditions, connectivity information, and call quality measurements associated with each call. This information can be used to identify recurring issues affecting particular users, locations, devices, networks, or call routes.
By monitoring poor-quality calls over time, organisations can quickly identify trends, troubleshoot performance issues, and take corrective action to improve the overall calling experience for end users. This proactive approach helps reduce user complaints, improve service reliability, and maintain a high standard of voice communication across the business. Modifications
The widget is configured using the Media Name and Audio Classification Name filters to identify poor-quality call experiences.
The Audio Classification Name filter supports three values: Poor, Good, and Unclassified. By default, this widget is configured to return Poor quality sessions, but you can adjust the filter depending on the type of call quality analysis you wish to perform.
The Media Name filter determines which media stream is being analysed. This allows you to focus on specific elements of a call, such as:
- Audio – Voice quality experienced during the call.
- Main Video – The quality of the participant’s video stream.
- Application Sharing Video – The quality of screen sharing and presentation content.
- Data – Data and collaboration streams associated with the call.
One or more media types can be selected at the same time, enabling you to investigate quality issues across different parts of the call experience. For example, you may wish to analyse poor audio quality separately from poor screen-sharing performance to help identify whether issues are related to voice, video, network connectivity, or specific media streams.
By combining the Audio Classification Name and Media Name filters, administrators can perform targeted investigations into call quality issues and identify the specific aspects of a call that may be affecting the user experience.
